Caffeine & Chaos: Unique Ice Cream, Milkshakes & Coffee Experience in Waynesville, NC

My best friend and I were on the parkway and wanted to find a place that had hot chocolate and this was the closest place. We're so glad we stopped in! By the time we were off the parkway the temp had risen and we opted for ice cream and a milkshake at 930p. The customer service was great, everyone was welcoming and knowledgeable about the flavors. Super glad we stopped in!

They had a great variety of flavors. Between 4 people we had and / or tasted a dozen flavors, all were delicious. We got some stuffed shakes and scooped ice cream. It was so good we stopped again before we left town for the trip home. The value and prices are great! The staff were extremely friendly, both visits. Highly recommend this place!

We’re visiting from Florida and stumbled across Caffeine & Chaos on our way through North Carolina—and WOW, what an experience. I don’t even know where to begin, but I’ll start by saying Florida seriously needs to take notes. This place is on another level. First off, the building itself is incredible. It’s an old gas station turned into the coolest little ice cream lounge you’ve ever seen. The design is so unique—modern, cozy, and full of personality. You can tell whoever built this place poured their heart into it. The logo, the layout, even the little decor touches… all of it feels thoughtful and fun. Now let’s talk about the vibes. This place just feels good. It’s warm, welcoming, and you instantly feel like you’re part of something special. There’s a full indoor play area for kids—yes, indoors! Slides, climbing, all kinds of things for them to burn energy while the adults get to chill and actually enjoy their drinks. As a parent, this felt like a dream. And then... the milkshakes. Listen—these aren’t just milkshakes. These are wild, over-the-top, stuffed creations that deserve their own fan club. I got one and immediately knew I’d be dreaming about it later. The flavors, the size, the way they’re built—absolutely worth the stop all on their own. They also serve up great coffee and have a bunch of little goodies and handmade items inside. It’s not just an ice cream spot—it’s a full experience. The kind of place that gives you a little spark of joy just being there. I’m so glad we found this place. It’s the kind of spot that makes a trip memorable. Small businesses like this are everything—we love supporting places with heart, and Caffeine & Chaos is bursting with it. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. 10/10—So grateful we found this little slice of magic. Florida, you’ve got some catching up to do.

A unique mountain town escape. Take the kids... let them on the indoor playground while you splurge on calories and caffeine.

This place was awesome! The employees were so sweet and friendly. The menu was extensive with dessert items, baked goods, ice cream, and a wide variety of coffee! We loved it so much we came by twice in the same day while in the area.

Passed driving by. Turned into a wonderful little coffee date. We got the Sugar Cookie latte, Funky Monkey, Pumpkin Cream cheese muffin, and brownie. All of it was amazing!! We will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try other menu items.
